A Hidden Gem in Central Florida
Lake Louisa State Park is a 4,372-acre park unlike any other. Located in Clermont at just a 30-minute drive from Orlando. From its rolling hills to its beautiful lakes and scenic landscape, it truly is a hidden gem in Central Florida!
Some of the Lake Louisa outdoor activities that you can enjoy include kayaking, fishing, swimming, guided eco-tours, picnic and barbecue areas, canoeing, biking, hiking, and much more. There are camping cabins and a 60-site campground.
We personally can’t wait to camp here!
Outdoor Activities and Hiking Trails in Lake Louisa State Park
Although they offer guided hikes at the park, we went exploring on our own on some of the shorter trails since this was an unplanned stop and we were not prepared for long hikes. The scenery at the park is beyond beautiful and it’s a different vibe from other parks, which is what I like the most from Lake Louisa.
As a matter of fact, hiking is one of our favorite Lake Louisa outdoor activities precisely because of the gorgeous scenic views. The Bronson Loop Trail is the first one we began hiking first but did not complete the whole 5. 5 miles.
Then, on your way to the dark water beach, you’ll take the boardwalk that goes through the swamp, which impressively enough, is not at all ugly. Here are the hiking trails of Lake Louisa.
Bronson Loop – 5.5 miles
Nature Trail – 3.5 miles
South Loop – 2.5 miles
Big Creek Loop – 2.0 miles
Bear Lake Loop – 2.0 miles
Sandhill Loop – 1.5 miles
Compton’s Loop – 1.0 miles
South Trail – 1.2 miles
Dude’s Loop – .5 miles
