With Fall comes Pumpkins, Ghost Tours, and Mysteries!
The fall season is the perfect time to go out on some ghost tours around town. Especially if some of these are close to home and minimal travel time is needed. I remember how fun it was to learn about ghosts and vampires in New Orleans. And in New Orleans, you can visit vampire shops that sell vervain, vampire books, wood stakes, and so many cool stuff. Even more, it’s home to The Vampire Diaries‘ spin-off show The Originals–both originated in the fictional town of Mystic Falls and they’re both a good dose of ghosts, witches, and plenty of vampires!

And just as vampires entertain me all year long, ghost tours are pretty much my epitome of fun for Halloween. Here in Florida, there are many mysterious places with a very interesting history. Like for instance, the mystery of spook hill. In this hill, if you place your car in neutral, it will appear to roll uphill. Known also as ‘gravity hill’, it has quite an interesting story behind it. And to top it off, Spook Hill Elementary School–which is just across the street from this hill, has Casper the Friendly Ghost as their school mascot. How creepy is that?!
Orlando Ghost Tours
Believe it or not, there are many ‘haunted’ places in Orlando–and all over Central Florida. Nonetheless, I’ve also encountered some haunted places in Saint Augustine and Ybor City in Tampa. So let’s get to it! Shall we? 👻
Greenwood Cemetery Night Tour
I went on this tour with my husband on a date. How weird is that! LOL! But I have to say that It was super interesting. A bit eerie, though. Being in a cemetery hours after it’s closed, in the darkness, surrounded by tombs and listening to ghost stories, can be quite the scare.

Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Tours
This town has all the haunted vibes and the town’s Cassadaga hotel has been known to be haunted. There are many stories of its mysterious activity. Although Cassadaga offers more than one tour, the Encounter Spirit Night Tour is the most appropriate for this list.
It’s a guided tour that takes you through all the energy ‘hot spots’ around, enabling you to capture spirit energy. Bring your camera for this tour and you might even capture some energy orbs! We did it and we were able to capture some. But…it creeped me out and I deleted ALL the pictures.

This looks like so much fun!!! Something I could never do on my own BUT it’s the perfect time of year to do ghost tours. I love how many there are to do in Central Florida! I think the camp one would freak me out the most!
I love it! And yes, probably the camp will give you quite the chills as it did to me!
I LOVE ghost tours so much. If I’m in this area, I’d do one. I got to do one in Gettysburg and it was pretty neat.
So cool!!
I have always wanted to do a ghost tour. I need to do some traveling.
Ghost tours for the bucket list! 👻
I love checking these things out this time of year. We went to a haunted old courthouse/jail once and it was super creepy.
OMG! I don’t know why, but I find old jailhouses to be so creepy 🙈
These tours seem so fun! Who knew Orlando was full of ghosts?
I know, right? So fun! Thanks for reading!
I lover ghost tours! Next year (when all of this is hopefully under control) I can’t wait to do some of the local tours. Sadly this year we had to cancel due to the pandemic.
The time will come when we can enjoy safe traveling again!
The cemetery tour sounds very scary! I am interested in the Downtown Orlando Ghost Tour . I think it would be very scary to go on your own. With family , it will be a good laugh .
It really is scary! But it’s also super interesting.
I am very interested in trying out ‘Spooky’ hill as I am sure there is something scientific to experience by doing this experiment.
Absolutely agree! Spook Hill was quite the experience.
I’ve never been on a ghost tour before but they sound fun. It would be ideal for a Halloween themed outing!
I agree! I personally prefer ghost tours for Halloween rather than haunted houses.
I have been to Florida but never on a ghost tour. Next time I am there, I’ll try to go there!
Yes! Bucket list!
Looks pretty cool and pretty creepy at the same time! I would not have thought of this as a date idea, but it might be good for hugging.
I know how odd it can sound as a date idea! lOL. But it was pretty cool!
