Outdoor adventures and outdoor gear is what I’m all about. So, when I first heard of an outdoor subscription box, I was like “hell, yeah!”. Being an outdoor adventurer means that you get to try new things. I love it when I find really cool outdoorsy items for road trips, hiking, and camping. And I guess that’s why this was love at first sight for me. Cairn is out of this world! And since I couldn’t capture my excitement when I saw it in my mailbox, I decided to do an unboxing just for you.
What is the Cairn Outdoor Subscription Box?
Well, it kinda works like any other subscription box except that with Cairn, everything is outdoors related. Cairn Outdoor Subscription Boxes feature the best-in-class outdoor products in various categories like apparel, gear, food & energy, skincare & emergency items. What I love the most about it is that my box is personalized according to the information on my own profile, which totally rocks! Additionally, you can choose between monthly or quarterly delivery for your subscription box.
Unboxing – Outdoor Inspired Items
I was really excited about getting my first box! Although I completed my profile for personalization, I still didn’t know what to expect. In the profile, you’ll enter information regarding your favorite outdoor activities–for winter, and non-winter months, things that you like, your clothing sizes, etc. As for me, you already know that I mostly do hiking and outdoor travel, but I added yoga and swimming as well. Pretty soon I’ll get back on track with my backpacking and camping. Regardless, this is just to give you an idea of what I listed as my favorite activities on my profile. Hopefully, it makes sense with the items I received.

Items on my first outdoor subscription box
- Cairn Scout Collection Newsletter. This lists all the items that I received in my box along with a good description for each item. It also has pretty good and exciting information about Cairn.
- SOL Emergency Blanket. I got it in XL which I’m not bothered about at all. I’d rather have it on a larger size than a smaller one that wouldn’t work out for me. This emergency blanket is windproof, waterproof, and 90% heat reflective–which works amazing for winter outdoor adventures. It’s very soft material makes it crinkle and noise-free. Plus, it’s multi-functional and you can even use it as a shelter or ground tarp.
- Noka Plant Protein Nut Butter. This single-serve pouch has 5g of plant protein, 4g of prebiotic fiber, 2g net carbs, and no added sugar. You already know I’m taking this snack with me on my next hike! Plus, It’s organic and suitable for vegetarians like me.
- Speaqua Solar Power Bank. A rugged, water-resistant, solar power bank? Heck, yes! This is the ultimate item for hiking and I’m super excited it was in my box. This solar power bank can charge your GPS and pretty much almost any mobile device. 4000 mAh battery, with 5.5V of solar charging. It comes with a compass key chain and USB cable.
All in all, I’m very pleased with my items and I’m looking forward to many more cool outdoor items arriving in my mailbox!
