In my opinion, Savannah, Georgia is one of the most beautiful southern cities in the U.S. It’s been listed as one of the prettiest cities in the U.S. for many, many years. This is why it’s no surprise how you’ll find some incredibly beautiful photo spots in Savannah.
I might be biased because the charming city of Savannah is one of my favorite places. However, I’m sure many of you also find it fascinating and oh, so pretty!
The last time I was here I was immersed in the spookiness of the ghost tours and haunted houses of Savannah. Which, in all honesty, they don’t look haunted at all.
The beauty of these historic houses is absolute madness, along with many other picturesque spots like the ones on this list.

Favorite Photo Spots in Savannah
Although these are my personal favorites, most of these are also very popular places around Savannah.
1. Wormsloe Avenue – one of the prettiest photo spots in Savannah
This place is magical and it’s one of the best photo spots in Savannah. There is no other way to describe this avenue that leads to the historic Wormsloe Plantation.
The beautiful Spanish moss and live oak trees are completely breathtaking!
2. Mercer-Williams House
The Mercer-Williams House is one of the most photographed places in Savannah. It’s also the site of the 1981 true-crime story that inspired the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
3. Tybee Island Lighthouse
Tybee Island is located just 18 miles from Savannah–about a 20-minute drive. At 145 ft tall, this lighthouse is the tallest and oldest one in Georgia. It’s considered to be one of the most intact lighthouses in America.
4. Chippewa Square
Chippewa Square is one of the most known squares in Savannah. Mostly, because this is the place where the famous ‘bench’ scene from the movie Forest Gump took place.
And although the bench is no longer here, it’s still one of those squares around the city that you certainly don’t want to miss.
5. The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist
Located at Lafayette Square, the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist is very picturesque and one of the most popular photo spots in Savannah.
6. Lafayette Square
This iconic green fountain is what visually stands out the most in Lafayette Square and is one of my personal favorites! Nonetheless, Lafayette Square is so pretty in every single way.
7. Jones Street – one of the most beautiful photo spots in Savannah
📷 Behind the Shot: This picture I took from Savannah’s Jones Street, ‘Savannah, My Love‘ was the 2018 first-place winner from the Historic Savannah Foundation’s photo contest.
Commonly known as Savannah’s most beautiful street, Jones Street has also been named one of the most beautiful streets in America.
For me, Jones Street easily describes just how perfectly beautiful Savannah is! It’s picturesque in many ways.
From the brick houses to the Spanish moss trees, to every little detail that is all so Savannah!
8. Forsyth Park
You haven’t been to Savannah if you haven’t been to Forsyth Park! This is Savannah’s largest public park and it’s also the oldest.
Not to mention that this fountain in Forsyth Park, installed back in 1858, is also the most famous in Savannah.
9. Monterrey Square
Out of all 22 squares in Savannah, Monterrey Square is commonly known as the most beautiful one. And I completely agree!
This square is very picturesque and the vibe just hits differently in this square. One of the best photo spots in Savannah–in my personal opinion, of course.
Which one of these is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
